1997

We sometimes say our business happened by accident

Like many businesses, Inpute was born out of a business need that had gone unaddressed. We got our humble start within a PC reseller business that was looking for a network fax solution to send messages between its two offices. The solution worked so well that we became an agent for that network fax software solution in Ireland and quickly became the top provider in the market. We also moved into document management as an extension to our fax capabilities.

2000

We strike out on our own, adopt our new name

As our solution offerings and clientele grew, we realised it was time to stand on our own two feet. The Inpute business name was inspired by “electronic input,” which represented the bulk of our service offerings at that time. We built our brand and solutions around our ability to enhance business processes and operational systems.

2004

Inpute makes waves in the Irish market

Inpute begins to develop a reputation in the Irish market for quality delivery of automation solutions. Inpute successfully delivers a number of major projects for Irish public sector, semi-state and large enterprise clients including An Post, the Department of Social Protection, the Revenue Commissioner and Ryanair.

2015

International expansion with new office in Poland

Inpute expands internationally with the opening of its first office outside Ireland. Wroclaw is selected as the location for this new office location given the quality of local talent available. We quickly built a team of senior experts in intelligent automation who remain an integral part of the Inpute team.

2017

Beta launch of WorkStream

We had developed and deployed a number of software solutions in the past as we responded to our client needs. With WorkStream, we sought to build a highly configurable platform that consolidated all our learnings into one solution. We continued to improve and invest in WorkStream since its initial launch in 2017. Today, WorkStream gives our experts a Swiss army knife solution that enables faster, more robust implementation of automation solutions.

2018

Expansion of our intelligent automation partnerships

After long-standing partnerships with OpenText and Hyland, we overhauled our intelligent automation capabilities by establishing further partner relationships with ABBYY, UiPath and DocuWare. The technology from these innovative partners greatly added to our ability to tailor intelligent, best-fit solutions to the needs of our clients.

2021

Accelerated growth in Ireland and Europe

Inpute’s acquisition in 2021 by Barrow Active brought the company an infusion of executive support to accelerate our growth plans in Ireland and across Europe. This allowed us to increase our headcount substantially while continuing to change the way organisations work via the power of intelligent automation. In the same year, we significantly expanded our presence in the UK with a number of major public sector and enterprise project wins.
